Humans of Lagos Episode 61

Humans of Lagos

"My village is situated at the border of two countries that were colonized by different countries. None of this countries cared about my village, the people of my village are wanderers doing odd jobs wherever they can.
We lack basic social amenities.
And like outcasts we are, in the eyes of the governments of these countries.

Now that crude oil has been discovered in a commercial quantity in my village, these two countries are at war fighting to gain possession of my village then once rejected. Their colonial masters are also supplying them weapons to annihilate themselves.

Humans to me, are the only species of animals who care not about themselves but only about material things of the world."
