Lefthandedness

When all is LEFT, everything is right!

Lefthandedness is one of nature's distribution which is still struggling to gain general acceptance in our world.
Many people see it as a bad thing - sign of disrespect and evil, few overhype the phenomenon - viewing it as a good omen, while others are indifferent about it.

It's during President Obama's tenure that Terrorist Osama Bin Laden was captured. These two great men were Lefthanders!

The etymology of the word left is from the Anglo-Saxon word "lyft," and it means weak or broken. Even, the word sinister is derived from the Latin word "sinestra, " and it initially meant “left.” We all know the meaning of sinister.
Oh this is unfair to the Southpaws.

Dexter means right, hence the word “dexterity” shows a right-handed bias referring to being right completely.

Majority of the world religions see the phenomenon as a negative thing. In fact, the term "left-handed honeymoon" actually connotes side-chick, or side-cock affair.

Well, the world tried to bury the Lefthanders, little did they know that we (yes, I'm a Southpaw) are seeds and we germinate all over. 12% of the world population is Lefthander. Upon all the persecutions, we are still breathing and doing well and of course, bad!
It's only a perfect Lefthander that can become an ambidextrous. (my research!).

Every 13th day in August is set aside to celebrate the Lefthanders. We need to praise ourselves, we've tried and we're still trying in the hands of people that see us as the devils.
 Common, celebrate us.... YAY!

However, some people are naturally ambidextrous.

  6. My son was a straight on left hander when he was little, up till he left primary school. I was so hard on him I did everything I could to make him write with his right hand. Now he can write with both hands but his handwriting turned out very bad, no thanks to me.
His handwriting became so bad, that throughout his junior and high schools, the exam board made him use computer for his exams because he was losing marks for bad handwriting.
I regretted doing that, but it was out of ignorance from my African background and belief that lefhanders are no good.
Thanks for educating us on this misguided information.
    I celebrate the left handers.
