So Wrong! HoL 118

Humans of Lagos

"I'm the sheikh of the The mono pitched roof, with the long, shining minaret Masjid over there. Right now, I'm ashamed of myself.

Across from the Masjid, you see that building live two guys. One of them a staunch Christian while the other appears to be nonreligious. I don't know how they cope, but I loathe them all together. They are from my ethnic group but since they are not in my religious faith, I see them as disbelievers.

Recently, a young man started coming to the Masjid for prayers, he's not from my ethnic group, so he doesn't relate with anyone here.

I tried to get to know more about him, and that was when I discovered how hypocritical I'm.
It happened that this Muslim guy stays with those disbelievers, they shelters him.

Our Masjid does not even have provisions for those with accommodation issues, and if we do, I doubt we would accommodate the guy cos of his ethnicity.

But I see these humans, they disregarded ethnicity and religion; they exhibit humanity.
I was wrong all these while. I'm out here, waiting for any of them to arrive home, they deserve my apologies.

It's humans before religions."
