Sociopath. HoL 74

Image
Humans of Lagos. "I'm on my way out of the city of Lagos. It's been good and bad, now I say goodbye to the city that accommodated me for over four decades. Twice was I married, yet they all crashed. I initially blamed my first wife for not being an understanding woma n, but my relationship with second wife made me realized that I'm a sociopath. I'm manipulative and conning, a pathological liar, never remorseful, lacking shame nor guilt, having shallow emotions and Incapable to love. I don't know how I grew up to becoming what I grew up to be, but I accept now that I'm Sociopath.  Maybe I'm not meant to live among normal humans, so I'm moving into the woods to live in solitude. But are there normal humans, free of drama? ©FERT, 2016

*Between 1914 and 1918 around sixty-five million (65, 000, 000) humans were killed during the first world war. *Spanish influenza of 1918, killed almost one hundred million humans. *Around eighty-five million (85, 000, 000) people died in the second world war between the years 1939 through 1945. *Between 1949 and 1976, almost seventy-eight million (78, 000, 000) people died during General Mao Zedong Cultural revolution in China. ...In all these terrible genocides, the world didn't come to any end; life goes on. New World Order didn't just start today, it has been since the very time modern humans evolved. Remember; Alexander the Great, Adolf Hitler And other warriors seeking to dominate the world in those day. Okay, Ebola outbreak, ISIL, Boko Haram terrorism and USA-NATO face off with Russia showing signs of end times? You may be wrong... ...Disease is for the profit of the Pharmaceutical industry, and War is for the profit of Banks and Armours manufacturers. ...

King, Masquerade and the beaten

Image
In the olden days, then in the ancient town of Osara, whenever the people of the town wanted to celebrate their annual Egungun (Masquerade) Festival; it is a culture that the masquerade must visit the king. This visitation is known as the Ritual of Blessing. During this ritual of blessing process, the masquerade must thoroughly beat the king blue-black with a thick horse-whip as the king releases blessings in the pain upon the town. But nowadays in this same town, whenever it is few days before this Egungun Festival, the king coincidentally do fall sick and he is always flown to the United States America for treatment. So he is always absent from the ritual of blessing. Only the gods knows why the kings of these days do fall sick days before the festivity. Maybe culture must learn to evolve, else it will go into extinction.  © FERT, 2015

Moving On. HoL 73

Image
Humans of Lagos "I was born in the Northern part of the country. So when my mother's house was razed down during the ethno-religious crisis there, she moved my siblings and I to the Eastern part to join our father. I continued my schooling in the East for the next two years, but stopped when my father died. My paternal parents sent us packing out of my father's house to inherit his property. They accused my mother of not loving her husband while he was alive. She didn't leave the North when my father left because of her love f or her booming business. We became homeless, and my mother became sick. I met a guy who spoke gloriously about the city of Lagos, so I decided to relocate to the town. I entered Lagos without having accommodation nor any job to do in mind. I stayed homeless for years doing odd jobs to survive. Just last week after having spent four years in Lagos, I was able to rent an apartment to reside in. I really don't know where life is taking me ...

Humans of Lagos "One day, just one day, I will leave this city for another town. I have seven girlfriends here, and four out of them have already taken me to their parents as their future husband. I cannot split myself for them to marry, and they are are not ready to succumb to polygamy. When I leave; they will rant and curse me, their parents will issue threats upon my life. However, I will stay safe in another town. The wise among them will move on and accept that I'm just the crazy tutor they must learn from. Perhaps, my evil is more than my good." © FERT, 2016

Abusing Abuse. HoL 71

Humans of Lagos "Some years back, as a renowned activist on campus, I had a beautiful girl as my very close friend.  She visited me very well in my hostel and I do reciprocate. So on this particular day, she was with me, we were talking about things as usual. Then I started kissing her, she responded. It continued for a while but she signaled for a stop. And then I obeyed. She left my place in anger, and she won't speak with me for the rest of the semester.  I sincerely didn't plan to kiss her, I never wanted to take advantage of her, this is a lady that I passed my night in her place without any sexual affection. Eventually, she forgave me. She explained that I seduced her with my eyeballs.  Well, cos I don't want further war, I allowed the blame to be put on me. Till date, I still feel that she seduced me just as she will be thinking too. Had she announced that I took advantage of her then...people will never hear my side of the story, they will judge me and m...

Gullible

The 'wise' Nigerian kings are gladly sending their pregnant wives to the USA to give birth to children with foreign citizenship. Nigerian military generals are counselling their children to joining the USA military. Professors in Nigeria are encouraging their wards to go get degrees at universities overseas. The smart Nigerians are getting connected to the politicians somehow. The gullible Nigerians are still taking about political parties. I love my family, so I blocked them all from viewing my Facebook account.  FATHER: Stop thinking that you can achieve anything meaningful without God. ME: But I believe in God sir. FATHER: (Cuts in). Yet you don't fellowship with the congregation o f God's people. ME: (Surprised). Is Senator Adam Eve a God's person? FATHER: Don't judge, God alone sees our heart. ME: Okay, I want to be worshipping one of the Yoruba dieties. FATHER: No dear, you know nothing about any of these Yoruba dieties. Moreover, you're born into the Christian home on a Sabbath.  ME: But your father, sir, was a worshipper of Olókun...The Sea Goddess of Wealth, and you're born into it... FATHER: (Interrupts). But when I heard the divine call, I dumped the believe. ME: (Smiles). I think I'm hearing Olókun voice. It sounded like the roaring of a lion, having the Ijesa-Yoruba accent calling unto me to come and be worshipping him. FATHER: That's a lie. You are...

Humans of Lagos "Depression daily dines with me.  Suicidal thoughts, tenaciously tempt my soul. Perhaps I shouldn't have forgiven the issue. Now I cannot forget it, and this is the cause of my psychological turture. I was only thirteen years old when he defiled me. And he didn't stop until I left his house for my tertiary education. I couldn't summon the courage needed to inform my mother. I just could not figure out how I would explain to her that her husband, my step daddy, is doing it both to mother and her daughter. He even warned me not to tell my mother, he threatened to kill me if I did. He sponsored my academics, and my mother was forever grateful to him till she breathed her last. While at the University, I confided in a friend and she plead with me to take the necessary court against the rapist, but my Priest preached forgiveness to me. I bought the message of forgiveness, my friend allowed me follow my mind. But my mind at that ...

When you lost your phone, I saw it. As a good Nigerian, I called your friends on the phone call log to notify them about the lost but found item. You're so heartless that all the videos on your phone are X-rated. You met me at a designated place to get your phone. You said; "God bless you for this kindness." Please, how did these videos get into your phone, Mr. Corrupted soul? I can't stand sharing heaven with you. Gosh, I was only able to transfer two videos from your phone to mine before your arrival. ..................................................................................................... You're fasting, yet you're receiving head! You said, you're not eating. Behold, you cannot enter heaven without first passing through hell. ..................................................................................................... Humans of Lagos Episode 65

Humans of Lagos "Was supposed to leave yesterday, but waited till today. At the Oshodi park, I bid my friend farewell. "We will meet again." He assured me. Though I was not convinced to enter the particular vehicle, yet I did. I settled in and started to read one of the books on my phone. At exactly 11:53am, the bus left Oshodi motor park for Ibadan. The passengers minded their businesses just as I. The driver was calm, the bus was a relatively new one. After passing through the Berger junction,  at around 12:45pm, the bus exploded. Passengers scampered for safety, I left the bus as well, leaving behind my phone and foot wear. Many properties got sacrificed in that explosion. I LOST MANY THINGS, BUT I HAVE MYSELF. I cried so much, sympathizers asked me not to cry, cos I'm a man. But my eyes cried till it got satisfied. I think I have more of the female hormone in me, 'cos I cried better than all the female passengers.  ...

One More Night

In the days of my innocence, when my heart was plain and as transparent as the Flathead lake in Montana USA; I loved this breathtaking damsel by the name Adewunmi. Adewunmi was my classmate at the High School, and I am just three months older than her. And she used to be my best friend. Adewunmi the ebony skin unbending tall slim lady, whose hair was not defiled by any chemical had this sensational Afro-hair style that got me enchanted to her; indeed she was my enchantress. I always get mesmerised with her twinkling eyes, my world momentarily get halted by her show-stopping smile and I daily long to have my lips pressed upon her kissable lips. When all my concentration got totally devoted to her, that my studies, parents nor any other thoughts could share her place in me; then I expressed my feelings for her through an angelic love message encrypted in a letter. In those days, the popularity of E-mailing was not as this strong, in fact Global System for Mobile Communication (G.S.M) wa...
